End User Drag & drop Grid Row

Hey there…

Is it possible to enable a visitor to drap and drop several rows of items?

For example, when the user arrives on the page there is are several default rows

apple
orange
banana
kiwi
strawberry

I want the user to be able to drap& drop / re-order the rows according to preferences

kiwi
orange
apple
strawberry
banana

How can this be achieved?

Hi @dragonsway,

Are you referring to re-ordering blocks? If so, just open the List View, and you’ll be able to drag and drop blocks. You can also use the Arrow icons in the toolbar to move blocks.

I dont mean via the back-end… that is easy… I mean…

VISITORS dragging and dropping rows

I see. Sorry for misunderstanding.

You’ll need custom code or a third-party plugin if there’s one for that.

Afraid that you might say… found a solution… not the friendliest, but within reach…

I see. Glad you found a solution, and thank you for sharing it!

Just a thought… You guys are plugin developers… turning sortable js into a WP plugin that works with all screen-sizes seems to be a a gap in wordpress plugin the universe that would get you guys a lot of recognition… there’s no one actually doing it…

Front-end drag and drop seems like an obvious design need.
